FOREIGN/NATIONAL RELEASE DEBUT SELF-TITLED EP
Melbourne’s Foreign/National have just released their debut EP through Downtime. Their self-titled EP features the extremely catchy single “Paris“, and the super-dreamy “Life Tourist”. This EP really is psych-pop at it’s best, soaked with just enough nostalgia and notions of the past.
Foreign/National’s detuned guitars and psychadelic riffs are going to ring through the Mountain at Paradise 2014 – and we can’t wait!
Australia’s favourite punks Drunk Mums have just released their hotly anticipated new single, ‘Nanganator’. To celebrate, the Cairns-turned-Melbourne five-piece will hit the road for a national tour, including performing at Paradise Music Festival 2014. ‘Nanganator’ is a brazen two minutes of fast beats and ball-busting rhythms, with an infectious chorus that begs to be heard live. Written and sang by guitarist Jake ‘Dingo’ Doyle, the song is a stew of grunge, punk and rowdy Aussie rock.

TONEDEAF REVIEW OF ULTIMATEXXXPERIENCE
Tone Deaf reviewed ULTIMATEXXXPERIENCE – read it here.
“A truly unique experience, pulled of to every last detail, Ultimatexxxperience effortlessly captured its own distinctive vibe for the day… This wasn’t just a gig, but a display and experience of visual and audible art, thriving in the alleyways and underpasses of Melbourne.”
friendships are throwing their first ever party!! Having played over 150 gigs, the audio/visual duo are curating their first lineup. They have selected the 5 performers they believe have the strongest live acts in Melbourne and have coupled that with the decadent venue that is Centerfold Lounge (yep, the strip club). friendships will take the pre-existing décor at Centerfold and addition it with a site-specific installation on the stage. The afternoon will feature live performances from recent collaborators The Harpoons, old mate Electric Sea Spider, industrial boys Forcesand DJ sets from bloody legends 2Fuddha and Fletch. Entry includes free admission to Centerfold Lounge all night long.
“We chose Centrefold because of its phenomenal and hard-to-explain decor. I mean, it’s not really like anything we’ve seen before, especially in the company of quality acts. This is the first time we’ve ever curated a show, so we wanted to have it somewhere really memorable and Centrefold is juuuust the perfect place. Gonna be chootzy!” Misha Grace – friendships
